Kendrick Lamar had quite the year in 2024. He is the first rapper picked to headline the Superbowl Halftime in 2025 and the winner of the “Great Rap War” feud with fellow rapper Drake. That rapper battle saw Kdot release his now-iconic diss track “Not Like Us”, solidifying his triumph in the feud and going number-one on Billboard. That same song is nominated for “Record of the Year” and “Song of the Year”. If he wins, it’ll be the first time a rap diss track has been Grammy awarded.

The woman of the night is no other than Beyonce. The most nominated and awarded artist in Grammy history has 11 nominations for her country album, “Cowboy Carter.” It is Beyonce’s eighth number-one album and broke streaming records upon release. The album and supporting singles are in the running for 3 of the “Big Four” awards of the night, including “Record of the Year” for “Texas Hold’em” and “Album of the Year”. Cowboy Carter is the second most nominated album in Grammy history.
